Alnwick Daytrip

A nice day tip to Alnwick where I managed to tick off nine pubs, It should have really been the required ten, but our second bar - The Plough - was a pub without any beer!
It's a nice 3 mile cross country walk from Alnmouth Station, but I would only recommend the scenic route if there hasn't been any rain for a least a month, due to an obstacle course of puddle pools and clarts.

Stockport Counting

16TH/17TH FEBRUARY 2019

A terrific weekend in Stockport, which must rank as one of the most friendliest town's I've visited during my many trips around the U.K.
We ticked off 14 pubs which included 7 GBG's and a trip along to Hazel Grove, where the Grove Alehouse was a gem - a pub where we would have happily spent the entire night, if it wasn't for our pub crawl mission. We must also salute the Olde Vic and The Magnet for their fine ales and decor.
