This was the first time I've seen Embrace live since their debut album came out in 1997. I've had chances (and had tickets purchased) to see them again, but something always seemed to crop up which means I'm double booked. Last night's gig showed just what I've been missing out on over the last 20 years, which was topped off with a handshake from Danny McNamara.

Morrissey played a superb set with his voice sounding as good as it ever has. This was my fist gig at the Arena for 10 years, hopefully there's a similar space in time until I see another show here.

Our latest boozy weekend took us to Preston, as part of my ground bagging trip to AFC Fylde. I set a target of a dozen pubs in the town, including the 6 GBG listed pub and the 2 Wetherspoon outlets.
